Transportation to Medical Appointments

Even if you still drive, you are eligible for this service. Why worry about traffic, directions, parking and weather conditions? Our Transportation providers can take you to Medical, Dental, Mental Health and Essential Business appointments.

Residents of communities with transportation service are not eligible to utilize our transportation service.

To arrange transportation, call 816-270-2800 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  rides must be scheduled no later than 2:00 p.m. the day before ride is needed.  A 50 mile limit per 1-way ride will apply.  A companion can always ride for FREE!

Co-payments:

• Ambulatory ride = $7.00 per one-way trip
• Wheelchair ride = $15.00 per one-way trip

Limits:

• 50 mile radius
• Limit of 4 roundtrip rides per month
• Limit of 12 roundtrip rides per month for Dialysis, Chemo/Radiation, OT, PT, Cardiac Therapies or visitation of immediate family members on Hospice

Rides provided for:

• Medically related appointments
• Essential business such as tax preparation, legal needs, housing or benefit appointments
• Groceries; driver may carry groceries into the kitchen at client’s request
• Hospital or rehab visitation of immediate family

Not eligible:

• Residents of communities with transportation service

No Run Policy:

• A rider who has 3 no runs in a 3 month period will be suspended for 90 days from the transportation program. If a rider has another no run occur, after the 90 day suspension period, PCSF may have to terminate that individual from the program.
