Give 5 Civic Matchmaking Program

Looking for a place to match your skills and interests with nonprofit organizations in need of volunteer help? Give 5 is a social engagement program that connects skilled, passionate retired older adults (60+) in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties with meaningful volunteer opportunities at select nonprofit organizations.

Participation in Give 5 requires commitment to five day-long classes and nonprofit site visits. Each Give 5 class experience allows participants to learn about public and community service trends, “taste test” a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and find a role that matches with their passions and skill set. As a part of the Give 5 classes, participants meet new people, find camaraderie and friendship, learn more about their community and have fun! Spring classes start on April 6th.

• We are recruiting 40+ participants for the program
• Applicants must be 60+, and live in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte or Ray counties
• Classes are free of charge and lunch and snacks will be provided
